At Get Out More, we invite volunteers to work alongside our practitioners. We regularly host forest school trainees to help them gain valuable experience whilst working in our safe and welcoming setting. Many of our volunteers go on to paid work with us or other organisations.
Being able to ask questions and observe the skills and approaches of others will accelerate your learning in the forest school setting.
Volunteers who are passionate about the outdoors and looking to contribute to their local community are welcome to join us.
Volunteers and trainees can come as a one-off for a couple of days or join us on a regular basis. We have volunteering opportunities with a range of projects and age groups.

About our volunteer opportunities
Volunteering at Get Out More is ideal for an individual interested in nature and who enjoys working with children or adults. We welcome people looking for work experience programmes who are passionate about the outdoors and want to gain skills in the education, environment and conservation sector. If you are wanting to be a Forest School practitioner or a Forest School trainee already enrolled on a Level 1 or Level 3 training course, volunteering with Get Out More is an ideal opportunity to develop your experience.
Volunteers must be 16 years of age to work with Get Out More.
Hands-on learning
Learn new skills, test your knowledge and work collaboratively when you volunteer with us. Our hands-on approach to learning will help you gain valuable experience in the Forest School and outdoor setting. These skills are transferable to everyday life so whether you’re a Forest School trainee or looking to broaden your horizons, Get Out More could be the perfect volunteering opportunity for you.
